Back Packing in the Great Himalayan National Park in India – April 2016
Step after step…after step… the mountain set the rhythm, not me.
Air thinning, thoughts sharpening, with every rise, something inside me fell away.
Ridges like scars across the earth, ancient, unmoving, whispering, earn this.
Wind against my face, silence in my bones, a quiet so deep, it began to speak.
Not in words. In wisdom.
Let go. Slow down. Be here.
No past to replay, no future to chase.
And somewhere between effort and stillness, between the climb and the breath, I didn’t conquer the mountain…I found myself.
